I’ve been building WordPress websites since 2010, and in that time I’ve gained a fair bit of knowledge and expertise. I’ve put together this FAQ page to answer many of the questions I get asked most often:
How long does it take to develop a website?
The time it takes to build a website depends on the size and complexity of the site and the quality of the content that is ready to go. It normally takes about 2-3 weeks to build a basic website.
How much does it cost to develop a website?
The cost of a website can vary depending on a whole range of factors. Though the development projects I work with normally start in the $1500 range for a basic business site and range upward from there depending on your clients needs.
What frameworks or themes do you prefer to work with?
I prefer to work with the Genesis Framework.
Can you organise a domain name and web hosting?
I certainly can. I am happy to set up a domain name and website hosting. If your client needs email hosting, I recommend G Suite from Google and can set that up for them if required. If your client would prefer to take care of all this themselves, then that is fine too.
Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes it will. I make sure that all the sites I build are mobile friendly and easy to use on any device.
Do you design websites?
I focus on what I’m good at – so I just write code for WordPress websites. If you need a designer I am happy to put you in touch with some of the fabulous designers I work with so you can discuss your project.
Do you provide training?
Yes. I add website tutorials to the dashboard of every website I build and I am more than happy to provide email support or in-person training if required.
I already have a website – can you help me manage it?
Yes. If you already have a WordPress website, I can help you maintain it with a Website Care Plan, add new functionality, and keep your content up-to-date. Find out more about my Website Care Plans here.
